Champion and Casbia Blend Elements of the 70s and 90s Together

Champion works with Milan-based label Casbia on the ongoing collaborative series for the Spring/Summer 2019 season -- the recent drop spotlights the Century shoe design. It celebrates Champion's 100th anniversary and the design feature a design inspiration that highlights both the 70s and the 90s. The design, however, draws influence from high-top silhouettes often found on the court -- specifically Dr. J's time in the 70s and Michael Jordan in the 90s. Both the time eras evoke a different design language and together, the sneakers boast an unstructured upper as a nod to the 70s and a large sole unit recalling the 90s. The uppers are constructed from suede, canvas, and satin materials, it sits atop a large rubber sole crafted from Phylon rubber.
