Central Storage & Warehouse — a premier Midwest cold storage developer and operator with roots tracing back to 1947 — has celebrated the grand opening of a new ultra-cold expansion at its Pleasant Prairie facility in the Kenosha area. This move has added specialized storage capacity maintained at an extreme temperature of −70°F. It represents the company's second expansion of this capability following initial construction in 2016 and a subsequent enlargement in 2020.

Central Storage & Warehouse's project was designed and built in partnership with Consolidated Construction Company and Summit Refrigeration. The venture required purpose-built refrigeration engineering to achieve and sustain temperatures far colder than those of conventional freezers.

The expansion is designed to accommodate continued growth in CSW's Ultra-Cold Operations and reflects the company's broader strategy of scaling its infrastructure in alignment with the needs of its long-term customers.
