Yoojin Chung Presents Her Capturing Qi Graduation Project

Yoojin Chung is a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven and she presents her Capturing Qi graduation project. The concept references the Western understanding of feng shui through a set of three digital home devices. All of these are controlled through an app -- it features a wind chime, a water fountain, and a crystal ball.

These are all managed as a dynamic device that can be easily monitored and controlled via the app. Chung explains to Dezeen "The more you activate it, the more success you have. The reason why feng shui is gaining popularity is because we're all striving for success. Feng shui offers you a little bit of hope that is beyond your control, but it is also human nature to want control."
