This Camo Art by Roeland Otten Disguises Ugly Parts of Amsterdam

Roeland Otten has disguised the unsightly parts of Amsterdam with unsuspecting camo art installations.

His use of tiles, paint and photography help make choice spots in Amsterdam livelier. Otten tackles areas, such as electric stations, that block or interfere with the view throughout the city. He then portrays what would be seen if the obstruction didn't exist in an artistic fashion.

The execution is done is such a way that lets passersby know the building exists, which may have been done to avoid crashing into the building itself. He uses a mix of pixelated, minimalist and still photo realism to achieve his art work.

This camo art is a wonderful premise as it helps show how much one unsightly thing can take away from a view.
