Striking Syringe Typography

Camilo Rojas and Valerie Lopez's VIDA Artwork is a Prickly Project

Those who wince at the sight of needles aren't going to be the first to line up to see Camilo Rojas and Valerie Lopez's incredibly detailed and potentially deadly art installation called VIDA.

Comprised of 950 medical syringes and needles that are precisely arranged on a board, the sharp materials used in this exhibit are color-contrasted and actually spell out the word VIDA when observed from afar. Be careful not to get too close, because even a simple stumble in front of this sharp exhibit could be disastrous. The interesting thing about this type of typography is that syringes and needles are medical items that most of us avoid and treat with great caution, but are things that we all need at some point in our lives.

Using only wood, glue, pens and a ruler, Camilo Rojas and Valerie Lopez's VIDA installation is stuck to a 24-inch by 48-inch board and is a unique example of eye catching, syringe-inspired artwork.
