Kjell Bloch Sandved, a Norwegian photographer, collected these beautiful photographs of butterfly wings. In each wing, there is a shape that looks just like a letter of the alphabet. The amazing little surprises we can find in the details of nature can be so uplifting and inspiring, making our troubles disappear if only for a moment.
The photographer had been photographing different species of moths and butterflies during his career and one day he noticed one of the designs on a wing looked like a letter. After examining other photographs, he eventually found more examples of letters spread out on different butterfly wings.
He called the series Butterfly Alphabet and it also includes the numbers zero to nine. These remarkable photographs show the beauty and creativity that already exists without human influence or action.
