Contemporary Wooden Cabins

OMB Designs the Bowen Island House by the Calm Waters

Vancouver-based design firm, office of mcfarlane biggar architects + designers, better known as OMB, designs the captivatingly beautiful bowen island house. It rests within a shield of trees and overlooks the calming waters on the shores of British Columbia.

The architect describes the home to be a 'contemporary cabin in the woods' -- it is made to exude comfort with progressive design. It is built carefully over two storys and is spotlighted by the exposed concrete on the lower level for a contradicting look to the blackened timber cladding that makes up the upper level. The spacious design opened up by the large ceiling to floor windows shows off a panoramic view of the Canadian coastline with natural and calming surroundings.Photo Credits: designboom
