A Japanese sculptor is creating tiny metropolises on top of bonsai trees. Artist Ocoze builds these mini cities on plants to mimic man's relationship with nature.
This micro artwork exists to demonstrate the "forces of nature that will continue to exist with or without mankind." While some of the city sculptures appear to be taking over the bonsai trees, others seem to have a more symbiotic relationship. The message he is trying to convey is that ultimately nature will prevail and human life is not permanent. Sometimes other elements are introduced, like Jessica Rabbit and moss covered skulls.
Ocoze creates these three dimensional architectural pieces using plaster, resin, steel and other found objects uncovered by the artist.
