Cosmic Body Paint Photographs

Daria Khoroshavina Creates These Body Paint Photographs

Created with the goal of resembling the photographs of "space and sky," Russian photographer Daria Khoroshavina created her series of body paint photographs entitled 'we are all made of stars.'

Daria Khoroshavina idea for 'we are all of made of stars' came about from a vision she had for a shot "where the only source of light would be body paint glowing in black light." Khoroshavina's subjects are brightly illuminated with swirls of neon colors that do indeed look like distant stars and swirls of galaxies twinkling in the far reaches of space. The black light allows for the paint to be properly seen while at the same time mimicking the dark cold background of outer space.

Daria Khoroshavina's neon body paint photographs show us our connectedness with ourselves and the universe that surrounds us.
