Vibrant Shallow Seating

Bla and BlaBla by Meneghello Paolelli Associati is Inspired by Chats

The Bla and BlaBla seats are not bland in the least. It would be hard for someone to even think that when taking into account their vibrant colors. Instead, their names were inspired by chats and conversations, which these seats hope to propagate as people fill them. The first takes the form of an armchair while the latter is a sofa, hence the addition of another 'Bla' to signify its length.

Designed by Meneghello Paolelli Associati for furniture manufacturer Horm, the Bla and BlaBla seats embrace an interesting silhouette. Since the backrest is low, the overall design appears shallow, yet the Bla and BlaBla seats still provide a comfortable perch to rest upon. The fluid forms are made out of hardwood and composite that is covered in crushproof expanded polyurethane.
