Wave-Inspired Wharfs

The BIG St. Petersburg Pier Concept is Larger Than Life

The BIG St. Petersburg Pier concept takes a yawn-worthy idea and creates something truly spectacular. Creating a wave-themed wharf may not seem intriguing at first, but after glancing at the actual design, it's clear the structure is breathtaking. Larger than life with sweeping, simple lines, it really captures the awesome power and rawness of a real wave. Surfers will look at it longingly, wishing it really were a wave.

Conceived for the St. Petersburg Pier Competition, the BIG St. Petersburg Pier proposal is an attraction in and of itself, apart from the activities it actually hosts. Made up of three parts, the BIG St. Petersburg Pier concept features a tributary park with an observatory deck, a wave walk and a swimming pool.
