Georgian Culture Soccer Stadiums

Bahadir Kul Architects Design the Culture-Inspried Batumi Stadium

Renowned Turkish architectural firm, Bahadir Kul Architects, adds to its portfolio of over 20 stadium designs with the 'Georgian Batumi Stadium.' The soccer stadium accommodates beloved local soccer club FC Dinamo Batumi, whose home games and practices take place at the new location.

Inspired by the rich Georgian traditions of dance, the building captures the dynamism and free-spirited nature of the culture through 76 enthusiastic overlapping panels. Bahadir Kul Architects evidently displays these qualities in the stadium's façade through the panels' slants and height differences. With undulated forms, movement is evoked to create a rhythmic visual effect.

Covered with PVC, the bowl-shaped stadium appears neutral and soft during the day. By night, the Batumi Stadium's panels are dynamically illuminated.
