Cats may rule the Internet (for now…), but dogs may one day inherit cyberspace, at least that’s what Bass Dogs seems to suggest. This epic Tumblr blog has a simple premise: switch the bass guitars that bassists use with pictures of dogs. The result is as hilarious and ridiculous as you probably predicated it would be.
Bass Dogs is run by a Scotsman named Michael who also runs several other Tumblr blogs, including Serious Men Holding Birds. Birds are funny, but they’re far down the Internet animal superiority totem pole. Bass Dogs features famous musicians, such as Geddy Lee of Rush and Sting. That being said, it’s the dogs, not the musicians, that are the star of this show. It’s a little crazy how all of these dogs look to be right at home in the arms of musicians.
