The Baltimore Whiskey Company Released Three Revamped Iconic Liqueurs

Bitter amari continues to evolve outside of its historic homeland of Italy, with the latest innovation of this intense liqueur coming from the Baltimore Whiskey Company. The distillery's three iterations of the iconic Italian liqueur all feature unique flavor and ingredients, and hope to push the boundaries of the herbal digestif.

The bitter amari products from the Baltimore Whiskey Company currently come in three styles, with each variant being designated as a Volume. Volume 1 is perhaps the most traditional of the three and is an impressively bitter fernet with massive doses of clove, genetian, wintergreen, rhubarb and star-anise. Volume 2 is a more contemporary expression of bitter amari, and features the distinct infusion of Szechuan peppercorns. The infusion lends a fruity, anesthetic quality to the classic bitter finish. Volume 3 is flavored with coffee and utilizes 10 botanicals, including cascara, orris root and citrus peel.
