BAK Arquitectos has built the Casa Mar Azul in a forested setting in Argentina, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Since the team did not have a client for this project and was building it from their own accord, they were much more free in terms of what could be done. As such, they ensured the construction process was eco-friendly, taking down as few trees as possible, and also made it so that it required little to no maintenance.
The structure features glass around most of the facade, with the surrounding trees creating most of the barriers for privacy.
