Ocean-Referencing Vacation Villas

This Bahamas Holiday Home by Touzet Studio Boasts Hints of Blue

Miami-based architecture firm Touzet Studio takes charge of this Bahamas holiday home, located on a private beach on the tiny Cat Cays island. The interior of the residence enjoys a breezy aesthetic and an open concept living space that allows the outside environment to seamlessly enter the premises. With incredible views of the ocean, Touzet Studio skillfully derives elements of the surroundings and incorporates them into the interior of the house. The mood of the Bahamas holiday home is best communicated with the minimalist color palette that has strong hits of blue.

While some of the elements suggests a traditional island residence — from "the shutters [to] the native keystone and wood-clad ceilings," Touzet Studio is able to inject a contemporary touch by way of arrangement, material and texture use.
