Groundbreaking news: Disney’s Baby Einstein Videos do not, I repeat, do not contribute to the mental development of your child. I can hear the cry of outraged parents everywhere at the fact that Disney has recalled the videos, but did they honestly believe that making their kid watch a video would make them smarter? More so than sitting down with a book, perhaps? Or flash cards of the alphabet?
As upset as I am that my future child won’t get to watch any Baby Einstein Videos—if only for entertainment purposes—I gotta give Disney props for coming clean. Read more about the recall of the Baby Enstein Videos at The New York Times.
