The 'Zappie' App Uses Augmented Reality for Education

'Zappie' is an app designed for pre-schoolers that uses augmented reality for education, by bringing nursery rhymes to life.

Currently, Zappie is compatible with Apple and Android devices and is free to download from the Google Play or iTunes App Store. However, to experience the full potential of the app, items like greeting cards, stickers and heat transfers in eight themes like 'Old McDonald' and 'I'm a Little Teapot' can be purchased from Zappie's online shop.

When these items are used with the augmented reality Zappie app, the objects come to life on-screen and encourage kids to sing, dance and play along. This is a new take on the traditional storybook because it completely transforms the decor in a child's room or the bibs they wear into interactive and educational tools.
