Upi-2m'S Award-Winning Arena Zagreb in Croatia

The modern, rib-like structure that is the Arena Zagreb in Croatia won the title of Structural Design of the Year at the 2009 World Architecture Festival in Barcelona. Arena Zagreb is made of a polycarbonate facade and steel roof. The structure is suspended from 86 curved, reinforced-concrete columns that vary in height between 27m and 39m.
