Hacker Group Announces ‘AnonPlus,' a New Social Network Site

Originally an unorganized band of Internet trouble-makers, Anonymous has grown into a society of benevolent hackers, carrying out raids against government and corporate websites; however, with the recent announcement of AnonPlus, the group is now challenging Google!

Banished, deleted or otherwise driven away by websites like Google+ for the illegal, sometimes-classified content they posted, Anonymous members began planning an alternative. The website is currently in development, although a courtesy blog post explains the philosophy and goals of the new social network: It will be a place without "fear of censorship…of blackout…nor of holding back."

From the first time an Anon-related hacker hosted or published sensitive information online, it was only a matter of time until the group would be forced to build their own territory, which would be safe from the reprisals of diligent g-men and vengeful corporations. Anonymous invites everyone -- hackers and non-hackers alike -- to join the new social network and enjoy the fruits of true privacy.
