The Walk&Talk Project Recreates Colorful Animal GIFs In Nature

Ceci Soloaga and Ygor Marotta are artists that have collaborated to create an animation installation that projects colorful safari creatures across different natural landscapes in Portugal. The project is known as Walk&Talk and it merges together both creative drawing with the nature of the region.

The Walk&Talk Project goes beyond a simple art viewing by incorporating animation to bring the exotic and whimsical images to life. The installation incorporates street art, colorful designs and movement to render the drawings animated as they are screened across trees, rocks and the cliffside. The work showcases whimsical depictions of birds flying, cheetahs running and even mystic creatures such as mermaids singing. Each of the drawings renders the technique of a looped GIF animation to a much larger scale by projecting the installations onto natural formations.
