Intimate Animal Street Photgraphy

Giacomo Brunelli's Animal-Focused Street Photography is Lovely

Catching animals in their element with his shots, Giacomo Brunelli and his animal-focused street photography series ‘The Animals’ takes us on morning walks with the photographer when he’s in Italy, wandering around and capturing a multitude of creatures doing their thing.

The London-based photographer has built his career around photographing animals because he would spend time playing with them as a child in his native Italy. His new animal-focused street photography series is stunning; all shot in black and white and displayed in a snapshot way, the photographs feel naive and intimate.

"I think that is why I push the lens often to its closest point of focus, almost touching the subject and forcing flight or fight from the animal, which is when I then record its reaction," says Brunelli on his site.
