Anagrama studio created this unique dome shelving unit for the Conarte library in Monterrey. The structure is essentially a floor-to-ceiling archway that contains diamond-shaped cubbies that hold books.
Guests are surrounded by the enclosing bookcase, which resembles a protective force field. The light color of wood of the shelves is paired with a light blue background. This color scheme brings a bright sunny day-inspired theme into the entire library. The structure presents a cozy environment that encourages quiet reading and continuous learning. The archway fuses culture and art into one unique space.
There is also a stair-like walkway that allows guests to peruse the book selection and immediately take a seat when they find a desired piece of literature. The Anagrama library brings a visually stunning piece of architecture into a traditionally plain space.
