In support of HIV/AIDS, a bedazzled piece of art created by Miley Cyrus was auctioned off at the amfAR Gala in New York. The sparkling recreation of the Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair magazine cover sold for $69,000, which will go towards finding a cure for HIV/AIDS.
The artwork itself is a textural bold recreation of the elegant portrait of Caitlyn Jenner when she posed for her cover shoot with Vanity Fair. This photograph was her public debut as a transgender woman. Cyrus used neon paint, glitter and playful doodles to accentuate the gorgeous image of Jenner.
Cyrus designed 'The Caitlyn Collection' specifically for the annual AIDS awareness gala in honor of her recent LGBTQ foundation called 'The Happy Hippies.' Auctioning off her artwork and the amfAR gala was the perfect way to raise money and promote her new foundation, which helps homeless and LGBT youth.
