3D Printed Animal Limbs

The 3D Printed Duck Limb is Making Strides in Saving Injured Animals

One duck is still living thanks to a 3D printed duck limb. Many of our other furry friends could also benefit from these great inventions. No duck will have to manage without a limb anymore. A designer named Terence Loring who owns a 3D design company called 3D Pillar, built a fancy leg for a duckling name Dudley who had lost his leg during an aggressive chicken fight.

Loring began measuring the duck's missing leg and created a simple design that connected to a flipper. A local 3D printing company, Proto3000 is actually building the leg and Dudley is currently being assisted at K9-1-1 Animal Rescue where he is getting used to the new 3D printed duck limb. If it could work for Dudley, there is no telling what we can accomplish with 3D printing.
