360-Degree Advergames

Turkish Airlines' 'WingoFlies' is the First-Ever 360 YouTube Video Game

With the rise of virtual reality viewing, the public has become fairly familiar with the 360 YouTube video format. Music artists, video game designers and advertisers alike have all been quick to experiment with the possibilities of the 360-degree video platform, but now Turkish Airlines has created one of the first advertising games using this technology.

'WingoFlies' introduces a character named 'Wingo,' who also shares the name with the brand's own mobile app, which serves as a way for travelers to find out about the latest promotional flights.

In WingoFlies, viewers are challenged to search the scenery for clues that will give them the chance to win a free flight. The incredible 360-degree footage was captured using a drone and seven GoPro cameras in Turkey's beautiful Cappadocia region.
