3-D Super Bowl Commercials

Pepsi & DreamWorks Hope You Have Your Glasses Handy

Monstrous Superbowl commercials are going 3-D this year. Both Pepsi Co. and DreamWorks are dealing with the logistics of distributing the 125 million pairs of special glasses required to experience the full effect of their new ads set to show around halftime during the big game on February 1, 2009.

Pepsi will have dancing amphibians in their SoBe Lifewater beverage spot, while a promo for the upcoming animated movie "Monsters vs. Aliens" will also be projected over the airwaves with Intel InTru 3D technology.

The cost of the coveted commercial spot is said to be around $3 million dollars so the promoters are hoping people will pick up the free 3-D glasses and enjoy the ads. Here’s a sneak peek.
