Budapest-born photographer Zsolt Hlinka has an eye for capturing unique architectural details in his 'Air Corridor' project, which is based on a previous collection titled '100 Year Old Houses.'
The photo series shows Budapest buildings from the ground up, Zsolt Hlinka angling his lens straight to the sky to show the artful patterns the structures make. The Air Corridor project therefore pays tribute to the architecture of Hungary's capital in a new light, with each of the images revealing the impressive height and intricate markings of the buildings. The off-white color of the walls is attractively contrasted with the bright blue sky as well, working to draw attention to the shapes seen from Zsolt Hlinka's perspective.
The photographer explains the project by saying that the images "move out from the closed courtyards to the opened streets and instead of showing the sky framed by buildings, the pictures present it as an opened corridor with more directions which creates space for the buildings and also separates them."
