The latest exhibition from Chinese artist Zhong Biao seeks to represent the chaos associated with the changing views of time. The result, 'Reflected on Air,' is a spectacular blend of calm, color and chaos.
Zhong Biao uses acrylic paint to create soft golden fabric and feathers, creating a reality in the humans he draws in the middle of fantastical confusion. His paintings force you to focus on every piece of surface area of the canvas, the same way he believes humans should focus on every part -- present, future, past -- of our society.
With his penchant for detail and unique borderline post-apocalyptic style, Zhong Biao is establishing himself in the art world. His work as been featured in the Economist, and was reproduced during the 2010 South African World Cup.
His exhibit, 'Reflected on Air,' is running at the Frey Norris Contemporary and Modern Art museum in San Francisco from May 8 to June 25, 2011.
