Amsterdam-based designer Jacob de Baan creates the Zero collection for the Istanbul-based design label UNIQKA. The Zero collection is comprised of a series of hand-stitched leather lamps made with two identical ellipses to construct the structure of the sun-inspired lamps. The capsule features a floor lamp and a hanging lamp -- both of which come together when two elliptical pieces are cross-connected.
The Zero lighting series is constructed from vegetable-tanned leather and hand-stitched together to form an elegant exterior. There is a circular hole cut out in order to allow light to emit through while leaving the light source hidden within. It also sits on top of a black steel foundation as a finish. The hanging lights, on the other hand, are crafted using brass materials.
