Live Podcasting Apps

The ZCast App Lets Listeners & Followers Interact With Podcasts in Real Time

Mashable describes the Zcast app as being similar to Periscope, but for audio content rather than live video streaming. The platform uses Twitter to enable audiences to either let listeners tune into podcasts live, or bring a live audience to your own podcast. App users can comment and interact in real time and if you tweet a link to the audio stream, even people who don't have the app can listen.

The Zcast app lets people create their own podcast, link in other people to podcast with and group-cast to followers. A scheduling feature lets you launch your podcast at a later date if doing it live is unappealing, while users can also browse upcoming podcasts.
