YouTube Music is Adding Podcasts the the US Platform

YouTube Music is now officially offering podcasts in the US -- it can be accessed on Android and iOS app stores. There, users are able to stream audio and video podcasts even if they do not have a Premium or Music Premium subscription. The shows run in the background and can be cast to other devices including television or speakers.

The new feature will is 'gradually' rolling out to American users. The company also notes that the format will be available to other regions as well, but there is yet to be a timeline. The purpose of adding this although Google already has a Podcasts app, is because it blends the listening experience for YouTube Music subscribers.
