This Yong Ho Ji Recycled Tire Art is Eco-Friendly and Thrilling

So many people are on a quest to become more environmentally friendly; although finding ways to do it are not always easy, the Yong Ho Ji Recycled Tire pieces are a great place to start.

The talented sculptor creates figures of animals and humans using several layers of shredded automobile tires. The Yong Ho Ji Recycled Tire exhibit features incredibly intricate and lifelike sculptures of sharks, horses, monsters and even men.

The message behind a lot of his work is the dangerous side of genetic manipulation. Yong Ho Ji explains in an interview that "[his] concept of mutants grew out of his life in Seoul, where there is fierce political debate over genetic engineering." He expands by saying that "[t]he sculptures can be taken as warnings; if we’re not careful, we may soon lose the ability to see animals in their natural state altogether."
