WW, which was formally branded as Weight Watchers, has launched a WW weight loss app that is aimed at teens. The WW weight loss app for teens is intended for a 13-17 age range. The new weight monitoring app is titled Kurbo by WW. The app was originally announced in February before the company went through its rebrand into WW.
The app is currently available on both iOS as well as Android devices. The app enables users aged 13-17 to tack eating habits, it uses the "traffic light" system which was developed by Stanford University. The system ranks foods into either green, yellow, or red categories. On the app, users can also purchase video coaching, which is priced at $69 a month.
For safety concerns, coaches on the platform are also trained to be able to identify the sings of a potential eating disorder.
