For the third time since it was taken (and the second in America), the world's biggest photo is going on display at the Culver Center of the Arts. The picture, taken after 35 minutes of exposure through a pinhole camera, captures several miles of the landscape surrounding the El Toro Control Tower of Irvine, California.
Believe it or not, but the photo canvas weighs more than a half-tonne. Its dimensions: 31ft x 7ft x 111ft. It must be mentioned that this photo was taken and printed by one camera -- unlike digital cameras, which can fabricate and stick together dozens of individual photos, this picture all came in one piece.
Taken by The Legacy Project, the photo is not only an impressive still shot of the San Joaquin Hills, but it is a stern reminder not to abandon the history of photography. Sure, rasterbation is cool, but is it cooler than this landscape portrait?
