Research-Celebrating Kindness Walls

These Walls Were Erected in Celebration of World Kindness Day

In celebration of World Kindness Day, the organization Kindness.org, released on online campaign that demonstrated the positive effects that acts of kindness can have on the world.

Taking a more scientific approach, the organization embarked on a study which tasked participants with committing one act of kindness a day, for an entire week. The results confirmed that performing kind acts had a monumental impact on social emotions and personal well-being. To celebrate these findings, the company erected three "kindness walls" in London, New York and Cape Town. The walls essentially serve as murals which invite individuals to sign, effectively making a pledge to spread kindness wherever they go.

The Kindness walls serve as physical representation of scientific findings, forming a relationship between the two disciplines to produce a positive social outcome.
