The Workegg by Efeene Design is a Contemporary Twist on the Egg Chair

The Workegg by Efeene Design immediately appears to be a rethinking of the iconic egg chair. The modern seating object seems to have been reoriented on its side with its shell carved out as a much more elaborate excision.

The curls and curves that reveal the hollowness inside of the pod actually reference the shape created in 1958 by Arne Jacobsen in his open version of the armchair with its rounded base. However, here Fernando Nanez has sculpted a much more complete ovum form to create a private enclosure for the sitter.

Inside the capsule is a row of plushy yolk-yellow cushions that define the reclined backrest of the Workegg by Efeene Design. They afford a comfortable and cozy space for reading with a built-in audio system for enhancing your experience on your laptop.
