Australia’s CADA network runs a four-hour daily show called Workdays hosted by Thy, created with ElevenLabs’ AI voice technology. The voice of Thy was created from an ARN Media employee who works in finance and consented for her voice to be used, and within an hour of uploading voice samples, a synthetic version was created.
From 11AM to 3PM, listeners can tune into Workdays Monday to Friday to hear Thy, as well as a selection of hip-hop, R&B, pop, dance and old-school throwback tracks.
This implementation is just one piece of a larger move from ARN Media—one of Australia’s largest networks—to test the potential of artificial intelligence for unlocking new forms of creative expression.
