The 'Multi-Tier Shelf' designed by Ammar Kalo of Kalo is a series of wooden shelves that can be set up without glue, screws, nails or any other kind of fastening system. There are only a few brass pins that are used at the top of the system to affix the legs to the uppermost shelf layer, which can be removed so that the unit can be packed away flat. Other than these pins, the shelving system is made form maple wood and only uses a few slots and its own slanted legs to keep itself upright.
As a companion to the Multi-Tier Shelf, a sculptural coffee table has also been designed as a complementary piece in the same furniture collection.
