This wooden comic book cover was created by Instructables user 'Kevinmakes.' Since the Spiderman Amazing Fantasy #15 comic book is incredibly hard to come by, 'Kevinmakes' decided to make his own.
Although the comic is hard to come by in reality, there are no shortages of the cover on the Internet. By converting one of these comic book covers to black and white, he was able to isolate and simplify the shapes on the image. These parts were then easily cut out of soft balsa and wood veneers with a laser cutter and sprayed with a gloss finish. The result is a gorgeous cover that is 3D and more dynamic than the original.
