Wendy Tsao Redesigned Bratz Dolls Into Iconic Female Role Models

Artist Wendy Tsao created a collection of refurbished dolls that have been made to look like iconic females. The idea was to create a toy that would also educate and inspire young girls.

The dolls have been transformed into the likes of J.K Rowling, Jane Goodall and Waris Dirie. The artist used Bratz dolls and completely changed the appearance of each by re-painting their faces and altering their clothing.

Wendy Tsao was inspired by Australian artist Sonia Singh who created a collection of similar dolls. The difference between the two artistic collections, is that Wendy focuses on real women and aims to inspire young girls to learn from revolutionary female icons. The artist plans to sell the re-created dolls on an eBay platform, which she hopes will inspire children’s curiosity in knowing to the story behind each doll.
