The Welingergasse 3 Housing Project is Modern and Abstract

There is something very artsy about the Welingergasse 3 housing project. With its almost entirely dark facade punctured only twice with bright neon colors of yellow and green, it is no surprise that I find it very modern and abstract. It gives this affordable housing a cool aesthetic and ambiance, which can often be lacking in such circumstances.

Designed by Mladen Jadric Architects, the Welingergasse 3 housing project is located in Vienna, Austria. With a total of 14 apartments, each one has a unique view of either the street, garden or even both thanks to the building's unique window design. The whole exterior was constructed using dark fiber cement boards with just the two entrances colored. Their colors reflect the colors of the garden in the backyard.
