Rope Coat Racks

Wardrobe by Veronika Wildgruber and Susanne Stofer is Creatively Modern

The Wardrobe by Veronika Wildgruber and Susanne Stofer, an industrial designer duo based in Berlin, Germany, is an original take on the common coat rack. In place of typical hard lines and rigid forms, this coat rack involves more malleable ropes. Hanging like vines against the wall, these ropes boast twig-like porcelain hooks that can support just about anything.

Made out of alloy zinc and polyamid, the Wardrobe by Veronika Wildgruber and Susanne Stofer also has a weight at the end of it in order to keep the rope tense. Modern and minimalist, this design adds a good dose of creativity and character into homes. It is no surprise that it was a chosen and rewarded project of Prix Emile Hermès.
