Rotating Rural Homes

72-Year-Old Vojin Kusic's Rural Bosnian Home Can Spin 360 Degrees

Vojin Kusic, a 72-year-old man, has designed and built a spinning home in northern Bosnia. The older man set out on this ambitious project, all in the name of romance. The project was for his wife, Ljubica, who was frustrated she could not see people entering her front yard from the living room.

Vojin explained, "I decided to build a new, rotating house so that she can spin it as she pleases." The home is located in the rural town of Srbac and sits atop a concrete plinth. Kusic used the wheels of an old military vehicle and an electric motor to make the home spin a full 360 degrees.

Now the couple can enjoy the sunny views offered in their backyard and turn the house around to keep an eye out on the traffic surrounding their home.
