Visitor-Controlled Light Bridges

Vivid Sydney's 2013 Centerpiece is an Interactive Light-Up Bridge

Using 100,800 LED lights, an installation at Vivid Sydney 2013 will allow visitors to express their artistic talents and light up the Harbour Bridge. The installation will change colors based on user input from 6pm to midnight. With this interactive artwork, visitors will be able to turn an iconic bridge into their own canvas.

The bridge lights will be controlled by touch screen panels along the nearby Luna Park boardwalk. Using custom-built software, guests can control parts of the bridge. The result is a vivid, morphing, multi-color artwork that engages spectators.

Built in a collaboration between Intel Australia and 32 Hundred Lighting, the installation will be the centerpiece of 2013's Vivid Sydney. The annual festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to its inspirational installations like this one.
