Unconventionally Designed Modern Cottages

Villa G Resembles a Scandinavian Cottage With a Twist

Replacing a summer home that was built on the property in the 1960s, the new Villa G is an unconventionally designed cottage that takes advantage of the seaward views on the coast of the Swedish Island.

The new construction was designed with a trio of diamond-shaped structures, giving the volume a unique bat-like shape. The black exterior is made from a high-end timber to pay homage to the original Scandinavian cottage. The interior offers a stark contrast by adding bright white walls and minimalist furniture. The polished concrete floor adds a loft-like aesthetic, acting as a backdrop for the designer to add vibrant pops of color with unique furniture.

The Villa G is completed with fitted panels of glass along the western side to offer expansive views of the surrounding Baltic Sea.
