The Ruffled and Mesh-Covered Viktor and Rolf Spring 2010 Shoes

The Viktor and Rolf Spring 2010 shoes were refreshingly feminine and seasonally appropriate. Given the wild, show-stopping nature of the design duo’s aesthetic, one might expect unwearable, editorial-only footwear, but such was not the case this season. Having said that, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren never play it safe.

The Viktor and Rolf Spring 2010 shoes were platform heels mostly in a nude shade of pale pink and black leather adorned with oversized flowers and ruffles. For an edgier, rock ‘n’ roll vibe, the designers also showed platform pumps and peep-toe heels caged in mesh as well as a fantastic pair of drool-worthy, pale pink peep-toe ankle booties adorned with turquoise zipper detailing. The footwear was the perfect mix of fantasy and reality.
