Snack is a Video Dating App for Gen Z Inspired by TikTok

Snack is a brand-new video dating app that takes cues from popular platforms and introduces a new way for people to be paired with potential matches. The video-style dating app takes inspiration from the matching algorithms of dating platforms like Tinder and combines them with the ability to share and stream like on Instagram or TikTok.

Founder Kimberly Kaplan was inspired by a TikTok video of someone creating a dating ad for themselves, listing their age, sign and location, along with the #single tag in the caption. Although Snack is targeted towards Gen Z, it's an app that can be used by a wide range of singles.

Since the start of the pandemic, many singles have been turning to video dating to form authentic connections in a safe way.
