Vermilion Sands is a Project by Matthew Soules in Vancouver

Matthew Soules has transformed a park in Vancouver into an immersive installation of plant life with 'Vermilion Sands'. The design is lit up at night, and consists of upside-down plants in the shape of pyramids.

The project took some time to create, with the plants needing time for nurturing and growth. Since the entire installation is so lush and green, the entire project blends in well with the nature-filled surroundings of Vancouver, with the installation located close to the ocean. In a sense, the designs look like suspended glass triangles, which are constantly being looked after with misting machines for nutrients.

Mathew Soules certainly chose the right spot for 'Vermilion Sands,' as it works well with the beauty of Vancouver. Photo Credits: designboom, msaprojects
