'Fancy Radish' Reinterprets Global Street Food as Plant-Based Dishes

'Fancy Radish' is the name of a new 65-seat vegan street food restaurant that is set to open soon in Washington D.C.

The new concept aims to offer a plant-based take on global street foods and flavors, including "Szechuan dan dan noodles where the traditional minced pork is swapped out for mushrooms and red chili-sesame sauce." Some of the other unique items that are set to appear on the Fancy Radish menu include chocolate beignets made with garbanzo flour and a chocolate brownie served with lavender ice cream.

A number of new plant-based restaurants and offshoots of established eateries are finding tremendous success with support from consumers, including vegetarians, vegans, flexitarians and even open-minded meat eaters who are looking to incorporate more alternatives into their diet.
